A WETLAND, A COMMUNITY AND THE FUTURE OF A VILLAGE

Resilience and empowerment through sustainable water systems
Tarahunise, Karnataka, INDIA

CATEGORY: Resilience, Rural Development, Permaculture

A water starved village on the outskirts of Bangalore is a conspicuous symptom of the larger problem suffered by villages across India.

Drying lakes, disappearing streams and depleting water tables, push agrarian settlement farther into poverty.

A whole systems solution that brings the water back in a sustainable manner, revitalises the environment, revives the community and empowers them
